We're building the tool we wish we had
Snaglist was born out of frustration. After years of managing construction projects and watching close-outs drag on for weeks, we decided to build something better.
Our mission is simple: help construction professionals close out projects faster with less friction. No more spreadsheets, no more chasing contractors via email, no more weeks of back-and-forth.
Our Story
I spent 15 years in construction management before starting Snaglist. The close-out phase was always the most painful part of any project. Defects tracked in spreadsheets that nobody updated. Contractors who refused to download yet another app. Weeks of back-and-forth emails just to get sign-off on completed work.
The breaking point came on a residential project in Dublin. We had 247 defects, 12 different subcontractors, and a handover deadline that kept slipping. The spreadsheet was a mess. Nobody knew what was resolved. The client was frustrated. So was I.
That night, I sketched out what the perfect defect tracking app would look like. The key insight was simple: contractors won't download another app, but they will click a link. That became our “magic links” feature—the core of Snaglist.
Today, Snaglist helps hundreds of construction professionals close out projects faster. We're a small team, profitable and independent. We're not chasing growth at all costs or building features for enterprise sales. We're building the tool we wish we had.
